“Information Technology European School” (ITES)

The Information Technology Committee is pleased to announce the Open Call for participants of Information Technology European School (ITES) !

It will take place in Debrecen, Hungary, from 12th to 19th May 2013.

What is ITES?

AEGEE has always had an innovative approach to Information Technology. It was one of the first organisations to start using E-mail and listservers as a means of communication. At the present moment AEGEE is depending on a lot of different Information & Communication Technologies (ICT).

It will be organized by AEGEE-Debrecen in collaboration with ITC and it will gather together 25 young Europeans, students or graduates from different countries who wish to use effectively their skills and ideas to support AEGEE at local and European level in IT.

In this event, there will be two groups of participants: beginners (no previous knowledge required 😀 ) and advanced (the real nerds who will go in the deep).


– current IT systems used in AEGEE

– design for print and web

– video making

– mailing lists and other collaboration platforms

– building a website

– advanced web development: php + mysql (with possibility to getting started with developing the new Online Membership System)

Participation fee: 70 Euro

Optional fee: 10 Euro

Accomodation type: Dormitory

(2 / 3 meals per day, depends on funding application. In case of win, optional fee will be part of the fee)
